Griffin Corners, NY - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 652 The First National Bank Ch. # 8847 PMG Very Fine 25.An extremely rare note, this offering comes from a Delaware County hamlet of some 350 people which no longer exists under the name Griffin Corners, the community having changed its name to Fleischmanns in 1929. Only five notes are known with this title, including this $20 which is making its first auction appearance since our 2010 FUN auction. It has some minor repairs and soiling, yet this moderately circulated note retains decent color and dark stamped signatures.
