Description

Champlain, NY - $2 1875 Fr. 390 The First National Bank Ch. # 316 PMG Very Fine 20.
A pleasing, well margined example of a Lazy Deuce, this offering hails from this far northern New York bank that opened its doors in 1864, but was closed by the receiver in 1931 during the Great Depression. From the only issuer in this community just a few miles from the Canadian border, this 1875 $2 exhibits even wear, nice color, and legible pen signatures. Included with the lot is a postcard view of the bank's building. (Total: 2 items)
