PMG Choice About Unc 58.This lovely Lazy Deuce comes from a well known hoard bank in Worcester County in Massachusetts that has provided a welcome opportunity for generations of collectors to acquire a high grade example of this popular type and denomination. In fact, over 30 Deuces are listed in the National Currency Foundation census for this charter, many of them in high grade. This very nice Series 1875 Deuce features bold ink colors, a very detailed vignette of Sir Walter Raleigh on the back, balanced margins (which is certainly impressive for a New England First Charter note), and very little, if any, evidence of circulation.
