Excessively Rare Pelham, GA Large Size - One of Three Reported
Pelham, GA - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 627 The First National Bank
Ch. # 9870 PMG Very Fine 30.This wonderful note, from the only issuer in South Georgia's Mitchell County, is one of just three large size in the census. Most importantly, it is the first of that trio to ever cross the auction block, and with just $840 outstanding in 1935, not many more are likely to appear. Fortunately for collectors, it is also a very attractive note with bright paper, sharp ink colors, and legible stamped signatures. This rare Plain Back is sure to be of great interest to the many collectors of this Deep South state.
