Milton 2E25F.5 25¢ Second Issue Experimental PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ.An attractive, nicely margined example of this scarcer Experimental printed on thin white paper. The face has a neatly placed bronze oval and a diagonal "SPECIMEN" rubberstamping. The back is blank except for the bold bronzing of both the "25" counter and the "18-63" surcharges. The note has two half moon cancels. The Experimental in this lot was one of two notes in lot 24525 in part XXII of the John J. Ford, Jr. Collection. The lot tag from that sale is in this lot. The other Experimental in lot 24525 is in lot 94033 of this auction.
