Description

T10 $10 1861 PF-20 Cr. 37 PCGS Banknote Very Fine 25.
This type note was part of the first series of notes printed by Hoyer & Ludwig, with nearly 171,000 examples issued between July 25 and November 2, 1861. The center vignette is somewhat patriotic, with Liberty and an eagle surrounding a shield with the Confederate national flag. Commerce or perhaps Hope stands at left. A pleasing example with even wear, no repairs, cancels, or meaningful impairments. It is well printed with decent margins on bright paper.

Estimate: $500 - up.
