Uncirculated 65 EPQ.A total of 36,600 1934A $1,000s were printed and issued through the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank. Of that number, survivors in Uncirculated grades are uncommon with PMG having awarded a CU grade to just 54 examples for this series and district and only seven at the Gem level. One of that number, this well margined offering has ideal paper quality and perfectly printed design elements. It would be a nice addition to any registry set of high denomination notes. By way of comparison, in our 2024 Long Beach auction, we offered a PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ piece which brought $10,200. This fully Gem $1,000 should certainly exceed that realization.
