Near-Gem 1901 $10 Bison
Fr. 116 $10 1901 Legal Tender PMG Choice Uncirculated 63
EPQ.Bright, white paper and a strong red overprint are the highlights of this near-Gem Bison that bears a much scarcer signature combination for this series. Examples in this grade are less available than other signature combinations for the type. This pretty note was last on the market in a 2017 auction when it was housed in an "old" PCGS Choice New 63PPQ holder. The most ambitious collectors will look to acquire the two Fr. 116 Bisons in this auction consecutive to this example, bearing serial numbers B2884023 and B2994024, to accompany this beauty.
