Fully Original Rainbow Ace
Fr. 18 $1 1869 Legal Tender PCGS Banknote Uncirculated 62
PPQ.Our current offering is a pleasing Rainbow Ace which has not attracted any meaningful condition impairments and has achieved PCGS Banknote's Premium Paper Quality designation for completely original paper surfaces. Spectacular blue, green, and red colors adorn the face of this Uncirculated piece, and the large scalloped Treasury Seal at right remains prominently showcased. This example is likely held back from a higher grade only by its slightly irregular margins. In October 2025, we auctioned a PMG CU 63 graded representative which brought $5,640. As Rainbow notes are always popular with Large Size currency collectors, especially in higher grades, and due to this representative's particularly attractive appearance, expect its final hammer price to come near to the above mentioned PMG 63 realization.
