Esmont, VA - $20 1929 Ty. 1 The Esmont National Bank Ch. # 8003 PMG Very Fine 25.A very rare note, this piece hails from the only bank to issue in this small farming community in central Virginia. It is just the fifth small size to be reported from this tough charter that closed its doors in 1933. It is a crisp, well margined $20 exhibiting just even wear. As an added bonus, the note features the printed signature of Cashier, B(essie) Rose Staton. Currently, the SPMC signature database records only 4 female bank officers for the state of Virginia.
