Yonkers, NY - $5 1882 Brown Back Fr. 467 The First National Bank
Ch. # 653 PCGS Banknote Choice VF 35.This is the lone $5 Brown Back reported from this long-lived Westchester County bank and it has the added feature of bearing an always popular "Circus Poster" bank title layout. Pedigreed to The Frank Levitan Collection of Westchester County notes sold in 2010, it is a well margined piece that should garner considerable bidding attention tonight. The brown overprint is slightly subdued, with minor surface damage and a partially repaired edge tear in the top margin, but the overall eye appeal, thanks to the title layout, remains quite strong.
