Sandersville, GA - $10 1929 Ty. 2 The George D. Warthen National Bank Ch. # 13725 PMG Very Fine 30 EPQ.This offering is just the fifth note to be reported from a late-chartering bank that bears one of the greatest titles to be found on any Series 1929 National. Though, interestingly, Mr. Warthen does not sign the note as Cashier or President. Owning a private name bank, it seems, was a well established tradition in Sandersville, as the Cohen National Bank operated there between 1910 and 1917. The finest of the now-five notes reported, this $10 features bold ink colors and original paper surfaces.
