Rare West Palm Beach Note - One of Three Reported

West Palm Beach, FL - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 634 The American National Bank Ch. # (S)12057 PCGS Banknote Fine 12 Details.
This great Florida rarity represents a very short-lived issuer, The American National Bank, which was only in business for a mere twenty-six months before liquidating in 1924. To date, just three notes, all $10 Plain Backs, are reported -- one in a PCGS Very Fine 35PPQ holder that we auctioned for over $37,000 in 2011, another in a PMG Very Fine 25 holder that brought $21,600 at auction in 2019, and the piece we are offering this evening. It is rather circulated with some minor repairs, but the colors remain sharp as do the printed signatures. As a bonus, it also features low serial number 12. This offering is a more than acceptable example from this very rare Florida charter.
