Albuquerque, NM - $5 1882 Value Back Fr. 575a The First National
Bank Ch. # (W)2614 PMG Choice Fine 15.A rare series and denomination on the state as only four banks issued $5 1882 Value Backs and only three of those banks contribute to the current census of about a dozen notes reported. That scant total includes this example which first appeared on the market in a 1977 auction. It features good color and just plenty of honest wear. In March of 2019, we sold a PMG Fine 12 example for $900.
