Princeton, MS- Lake Washington & Deer Creek Rail Road & Banking Company $20 Feb. 1, 1838 G8 Kraus 10492 Leggett 10 PMG Choice Fine 15.The attractive piece in this lot was issued by the Lake Washington & Deer Creek Rail Road & Banking Co., in operation from 1836-38. C.W. Mancaster, the institution's cashier whose signature appears at lower left on this example, would eventually also become the cashier of the Bank of Port Gibson. This piece is tougher to locate in issued form, and we have offered just a handful of this design and denomination previously. PMG does not comment on any significant condition detractors.
