Description
Vicksburg, MS- Commercial & Rail Road Bank of Vicksburg $20 18__ as G16 Kraus 10562p as Leggett 20 Proof PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.The $20 design features a vignette of a sailor standing on a dock, holding the Stars and Stripes at top center and a smaller train vignette at bottom. Each end panel contains an identical oval cameo-like medallion head. The note is printed on India paper mounted on cardstock with rectangular cut-outs in the signature spaces. The 1990 ABNCo Archives sale, Lot 826, included a $10-$10-$20-$20 uncut Proof sheet. There is some evidence to believe that at least two other examples have survived.
