Austin, TX- Consolidated Fund of Texas $100 Dec. (?) 16, 1839 Cr. UNL Medlar UNL Olson 705 PCGS Banknote About Unc 55 PPQ.Unlisted in both Medlar and Criswell, this variety with his appearing at the beginning of lines two and seven in the text is another transitional certificate that was originally intended for issue in Houston that was repurposed for issue in Austin by crossing out "Houston" and writing in "Austin" after the capital was moved to the latter city in 1839. The certificate is well printed on bright paper with no repairs or meaningful impairments noted aside from the usual cut cancels.
