Unadilla, NY- Unadilla Bank $20 Dec. 5, 1855 G16 Proof PMG Uncirculated 62.The $20 Proof in this lot features two allegorical females at left, one holding wheat and the other clutching a spear, and a milkmaid at lower right. The state banking department's die appears at lower center. Our current offering is printed on India paper mounted to cardstock with five punch cancels in the signature spaces. We have auctioned just one example of this beautiful Danforth, Wright & Co. design previously. That piece was none other than the note in this lot. PMG comments on a tear which is nearly indiscernible through the third-party holder.
