Postally Cancelled First Day of Issue and More Fr. 1935-K; K*; L $2 1976 Federal Reserve Notes. PCGS Graded.
The following $2s are postally cancelled with thematic stamps. The Fr. 1935-K grades Choice New 63PPQ and has cancellation dates of April 13, July 4, October 15, and December 25 at Yonkers, New York, except for the October 15 cancellation, which was applied at San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Very Choice New 64PPQ Dallas star cancellation dates are "Jul 4 1976", "Dec 29 1976, and "Mar 11 1976" at Yonkers, New York. The San Francisco $2 dates are "Apr 13 1976", possibly "May 4 1976", "Jul 4 1976" (first day of issue for the affixed Blacksmith stamp), and "Jan 20, 1977". The last date is the inauguration date for President Jimmy Carter and the cancel was done at Washington, DC. The other locations are Cincinnati and two California cities. Two more cancellations are on the back for first day of issue stamps with independence themes. Their postmarks are dated "Sep 30 1977" and "Oct 7 1977." (Total: 3 notes)
