Connecticut Collector of the Revenue Retail License for Selling Foreign Distilled Spirits September 23, 1799 Very Fine.
An embossed $5 revenue stamp is at upper left and at upper right is an United States embossed seal. This example is signed in red ink by John Chester. It is countersigned by Frederick Walcott (1767-1837), who was the son of Governor Oliver Walcott. There is an approximate .75 of an inch tear at bottom center.
