Description
Milton 2E5R.1i 5¢ Second Issue Experimental Back Engraving PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ.This fascinating Experimental was printed in brown ink on course fiber paper. It has three wedge shaped punch out cancellations and a "SPECIMEN" overprint on the printed side. Experimentals with three-pie-wedge cancels are the result of their having been canceled at the auditor's department. We last offered this piece 20 years ago when it realized $488 in our CSNS Signature Auction in May 2005. We expect the rarity of the offering to produce a much higher realization tonight.
