(Washington), AR- Arkansas Treasury Warrant $5 Jan. 13, 1865 Cr. 50B PMG Choice About Unc 58.Based on the date, this warrant was actually issued from Washington, AR, which was serving as the temporary seat of state government at the time (Little Rock fell to Union forces on September 10, 1863). This variety is printed on blue paper with the text regarding 8% interest being removed. ARKANSAS TREASURY WARRANT appears on the back printed in blue. PMG mentions a tear which is a small diagonal edge tear above the "T" in "TREASURY" which is not overly distracting.
