Olney, AL- Unknown Issuer 25¢-50¢-$1 1838 Gunther-Derby AO-386-$.25b- AO-386-$.50b- AO-386-$1a Uncut Sheet PCGS Banknote Very Fine 25.With only remainders and a couple of falsely filled in notes known at present, the issuer of these Olney notes (if there in fact was one) remains unknown. The notes use stock designs printed by Manly & Orr that were used by a wide range of customers in the United States during the 1830s. The sheet is well printed with a deckled bottom margin as-made and is one of two sheets of this makeup known to us today.
