Gunther-Derby AS-001-$5d PCGS Banknote Choice XF 45.These early state issues have a large number of variations. This variety was designated for the pay of members of the General Assembly, with this note made payable to Charles A. Dennis who served as State Senator representing Bibb County when this note was issued in late 1821. Dennis passed away in 1844. Although it has the usual hammer cancel, this piece is printed on particularly nice paper with decent margins.
