Printed on watermarked paper. Roulette cancelled "PAID 4 1 29." Check made to Edwards Church. At left panel "Calvin Coolidge." Signed in black steel-tip fountain pen by Calvin Coolidge. At the time this check was written, Calvin Coolidge was a mere three weeks post-presidency and back home living in Northampton, Massachusetts at his home, "The Beeches." He and his wife attended Edwards Congregational Church both before and after his presidency. The entire family were presbyters at Edwards Congregational and this is where his funeral was held in 1933. Endorsed on the back by James N. Armstrong Jr./Edwards Church and also C.H. Lyman Collector. Armstrong was the pastor of the Edwards church at this time. The check has been roulette cancelled.
