Yanceyville, NC - Bank of Yanceyville $20 May 19, 1856 G10 PMG Choice Fine 15.Another interesting note with the double imprint of Baldwin, Adams & Co. New York and Robt. L. Bald & Co. Philada. At top left, the focal vignette depicts early printers Faust, Guttenberg [sic], and Schoeffer (identified by the banner below) appearing to discuss a book that Gutenberg holds in his left hand. Type cases are at the left, and a printing press is at the right. An oval framed portrait of Washington, embellished with laurel leaves, is to the right nearly at center, and Franklin Pierce is in the lower right corner. Superior to the Mike Coltrane collection note that realized $288 at this same grade level. A bright note with good visual appeal.
