South Carolina December 23, 1776 $1 PMG Very Good 10 Net. The horse emblem and motto, DOMINUM GENEROSA RECUSAT (the well born refuses a master), are boldly printed and quite attractive on this well circulated, issued example numbered 209 of 5000 printed. The signatures of Edward Lightwood, James Fisher, and William Price remain visible. A long split, seen vertically at center, was listed as the reason for the net grade.Auction Info
