Fr. 277 $5 1899 Silver Certificate CGA Gem Uncirculated 65. A very nice Chief with tremendous eye appeal and deep, original embossing that can be seen through the holder. Even more significant than the terrific grade of this beauty is the fact that it is a perfect seven-digit up-ladder, with the serial number M1234567. Special serial numbers like this are seen with some frequency on more modern issues, but we know of no other Chief that can rival this piece for a ladder number.
