Hong Kong Chartered Bank of India, Australia & China 10 Dollars 1.11.1923 Pick 49 KNB25 PMG Very Fine 25.
A handsome and decent example of this type, featuring the first date of the series. Beautifully engraved by Waterlow & Sons, and thankfully most of the details are still clear and bright. Handstamps and notations are commonplace for this type. The first of this Pick number we have offered, which is significantly scarcer than the subsequent variety. Minor repairs are mentioned for accuracy. For this series, which ran from 1923 until 1929, it is important to note that this date is certainly the scarcest. Missing from many collections and quite desirable.
