Japan Greater Japan Imperial National Bank, Tokyo #15 1 Yen ND (1877) Pick 20 JNDA 11-16 PMG Very Fine 25.
An impressive and conditionally rare example of this scarce banknote - which features the second designation for the Tokyo branch. Excellent paper quality is noted on both sides of this example, despite the minor repair mentioned on the back of the PMG holder. The eye appeal for this example is better than usually seen for this 19th century type.
