Fr. 147 $20 1880 Legal Tender PCGS Apparent Extremely Fine 40.This Friedberg number was the end of $20 Legal Tender notes. The portrait of Alexander Hamilton was engraved by Charles Burt. John W. Casilear sketched the lovely Liberty vignette and Alfred Jones was the engraver. Good color and margins are seen on this attractive, lightly circulated example that received an Apparent grade for some repair work and a stain in the top left corner.
