Rarely Seen Saint Pierre & Miquelon Highest Denomination

Saint Pierre and Miquelon Caisse Centrale de la France d'Outre-Mer 100 Nouveaux Francs on 5000 Francs ND (1961) Pick 35 PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
Saint Pierre and Miquelon is an intriguing and rewarding colony to collect. A few issues are quite common, but high denominations can prove challenging to obtain, especially in issued format. This 100 "New Francs" was the highest denomination of the final series of notes issued specifically for Saint Pierre before the French Franc was reintroduced. Only a few examples have been saved in Uncirculated grade. We have not offered this rare type in issued format in the past. Not to be missed, this colonial type is a true rarity.
