Guernsey States of Guernsey 1 Pound 1.7.1939 Pick 16a PMG Choice Very Fine 35 EPQ.A terrific and rare banknote, with a small issuance and few survivors to be sought after by collectors today. Across all dates from 1933 to 1940, only 820,000 notes were issued, with only 2,600 unredeemed as of 1945. This example has minimal folding atop original paper and is fully deserving of its EPQ status. At the time of writing, this is the single finest graded example in the PMG Population Report, of only five notes in the census.
