China Netherlands Trading Society, Shanghai 50 Dollars 1.1.1922 Pick S460s S/M#S51 Specimen Very Fine-Extremely Fine.Outstanding high denomination Specimen from the Netherlands Trading Society office in Shanghai. At the time of cataloging, no issued examples are graded in the PMG Population Report, as issued examples are either extremely rare or non existent today. Interestingly, this Specimen was first a remainder, as evidenced by printed serial numbers. However, this example is lacking signatures. Overprinted and hole punch cancelled. Repairs, mounting remnants, and lightened rust are mentioned for accuracy. A very rare and beautiful Specimen, rarely seen today. No returns will be accepted on this lot for any reason.
