Description

Tied for Finest Known

Fr. 1860-L $10 1929 Federal Reserve Bank Note. PCGS Gem New 65PPQ.
A rare opportunity is presented in this lot, as this remarkable San Francisco 1929 $10 Federal Reserve Bank Note is tied for the highest graded example across all grading services. In fact, only a handful of these Fr. 1860-L notes have been graded Uncirculated. PCGS Banknote has graded only a 63 alongside the tied 65 PPQ, while PMG has awarded an Uncirculated grade twice as well, which includes a 63 and 64 EPQ. This beauty is another old friend of ours, as we last offered it exactly a decade ago during our 2015 FUN Signature Auction, where it brought a grand total of $15,275. For the collector looking for the best of the best, your Fr. 1860-L representative is found in this lot.
