Straits Settlements Chartered Mercantile Bank of India, London and China, Malacca 10 Dollars 1.5.1886 Pick S122 PMG Very Good 10 Net.
A Malacca issued Chartered Mercantile Bank of India, London and China banknote is virtually as rare as hens' teeth. This is one of only two examples presently graded in the PMG Population Report art the time of cataloging. As was typical at this time, once this banknote was redeemed, it was split in two as a form of cancellation. This example has been repaired and rejoined to be enjoyed by collectors today. One of the rarest cities of issue for any banknote anywhere in the world. Rust and notations are mentioned for accuracy. Not to be missed, this is a type rarely seen in any form.
