Incredible Highest Denomination Specimen Rarity

China Russo-Chinese Bank, Tientsin 500 Taels ND (1907) Pick S554s S/M#O5-35 Specimen PMG Very Fine 30.
The Russo-Chinese Bank's 1907 series was denominated in Hong Ping Hua Pao Taels. Only the lowest denomination was issued, with all others only available in Specimen format. Interestingly, unused stock was actually overprinted and used by the Russo-Asiatic Bank's Harbin Branch in 1909. This Specimen is nearly fully printed, with just serial numbers lacking. A perforated cancellation is mentioned for accuracy, which is typical for Specimen printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company. At the time of cataloging, PMG has graded only five Specimen of this extremely rare highest denomination type. Only the second example we have offered.

1907年天津華俄道勝銀行伍百兩樣票。PMG Very Fine 30。
1907年的道勝銀行鈔票以行平化寶作單位，但僅有最小面額曾實際發行，其餘均只有樣票存世。有趣的是，未發行的成品在1909年被加蓋更名，改由哈爾濱道勝銀行使用。這張樣票印刷完備，惟欠缺序號。票面帶有註銷針孔，乃巴布域偉堅遜公司樣票的常見特徵。截至編目時，這張堪比鳳毛麟角的最高面額樣票在PMG數量報告中僅見五例，並為敝公司第二次經手。
