Stunning Specimen from 1921
Hong Kong Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation 5 Dollars
1.1.1921 Pick 166s KNB54S Specimen PMG Gem Uncirculated 65
EPQ.A stunning, fully printed Waterlow & Sons Specimen which includes a date and one printed signature. Punch hole cancellations have been made through the spaces reserved for the serial numbers and hand written signature. A red "SPECIMEN" overprint as been applied as well. These do not distract from the sharply engraved design with the contrasting green and orange inks on the front and complementary olive and brown inks used for the back. A mere 13 Specimen for the date range of 1916-1923 are graded in the PMG Population Report, with only two grading finer than this piece with Exceptional Paper Quality at the time of cataloging.
