Rare $5 Narrow Silver Star
Fr. 1653* $5 1934C Narrow Silver Certificate Star. PMG Choice
Uncirculated 63 EPQ.An extremely rare star in all grades, but particularly so in this state of preservation. Narrow face plates were introduced in August, 1948, with face plate numbers 2028, 2029, 2030, and 2031. The example in this lot has face plate number 2031. PMG has graded only twelve in total, with the note in this lot and two other pieces, one of which we auctioned for $12,000 last January, being the three highest graded examples at 63 EPQ.
