Description

Rare Kansas City $100 FRN Star

Fr. 1120* $100 1914 Federal Reserve Star Note PMG Very Fine 25.
This is a relatively "common" Friedberg number for $100 FRN stars with all of four replacement notes in the census. In all seriousness, though, it is a very rare note and is one of fewer than a dozen and a half $100 FRN stars reported for all twelve districts. It is the second finest of the four known pieces, with the only finer star not having been publicly offered in several decades. Bearing fancy low serial number J800*, it is well margined with bright paper, bold ink colors, and even wear.
