Description

Rare $5 St. Louis FRBN Star Note

Fr. 1850-H* $5 1929 Federal Reserve Bank Star Note. PCGS Fine 12.
Of 24,000 printed, currently just five surviving St. Louis $5 Federal Reserve Bank Note replacements are listed in the Cybuski census. This example last appeared in our 2015 Central States auction, and is the only one of the five stars reported to make a public appearance since 2005. Despite being well circulated it does not exhibit any margin nicks or other flaws. Expect some competition to acquire this elusive piece as one may not be on the market for another several years.
