China People's Bank of China 10 Yuan 1953 Pick 870 S/M#C283-14 PMG Very Fine 30.
The People's Bank series dated 1953 coincided with the restart of the Chinese economy after World War II. After years of crippling inflation, this national series of banknotes replaced old Yuan notes at a rate of 10,000:1. At that rate, this 10 Yuan was equivalent to 100,000 old Yuan of the previous series. The size and face value of this note prohibited most from being saved. This example was mildly circulated, and displays original paper and colors. Some rust stains are mentioned for accuracy. A very popular, large format type that circulated for less than a decade before being withdrawn.

因應二戰後的中國經濟發展，1953年第二版人民幣應運而生。在經歷多年的嚴重通漲後，這套新鈔票以一比一萬的兌率取代舊人民幣，故此這張拾圓等值於拾萬舊人民幣。其巨大尺寸和高昂面值導致大多成品都無緣被保留至今。此例帶有輕微流通痕跡，呈現出原裝簇新的紙質和色澤，另見若干鏽痕。此鈔幅面巨大，發行時期不足十年，深得人心。
