Attractive Mid-grade Tombstone Note

Fr. 296 $10 1886 Silver Certificate PCGS Extremely Fine 40.
Several notes were issued in the 1880s as memorials to public figures who had died while in office. This Series 1886 $10 Silver Certificate was issued to honor Thomas H. Hendricks who was serving as Vice President when he died on November 25, 1885. This Friedberg number incorporates the eye catching large brown spiked Treasury Seal and the very ornate green back design often sought by many collectors. Nicely margined with good colors, this note has just a hint of handling to let you know it has been around.
