Charming Fr. 95b $10 Legal PMG 64
Fr. 95b $10 1863 Legal Tender PMG Choice Uncirculated
64.A charming New Series 52 note that was first documented when it participated in a Hickman & Oakes 1981 auction. The broad top margin at center on both sides reveals a paper guide line marker and the bottom portion of a plate number. The color is excellent on this nicely preserved $10 Legal. However, we do see a closed pinhole to the left of center just below the top margin when the piece is backlit. This example originally crossed our auction block in April 2016 to the tune of $8,812. That figure should be topped nine years later in order for this piece to be added to a new collection.
