Incredibly Preserved Bison with Deep Serial Number Embossing
Fr. 119 $10 1901 Legal Tender PCGS Banknote Gem Unc 66
PPQ.Not often does a Bison $10 of this exemplary condition cross our desk. This representative features generous but balanced margins with gorgeously printed details. Impressively deep embossing of the serial numbers and Treasury Seal is the central characteristic of the back, and vivid green color is also distinct. The note is printed on fully original paper surfaces, and thus, no meaningful condition impairments are present. It is towards the top of the PCGS Banknote Population Report. In fact, just one example of this number has been encapsulated in a higher grade than our current offering. The PMG Population Report records similar figures, as this piece is in the top 7% of notes graded by the firm for Fr. 119. A PCGS Banknote 66 PPQ certified Fr. 119 representative realized $21,600 in October 2022, and we have not auctioned an example at this grade level for this number since then.
