Canada Bank of Canada $25 6.5.1935 BC-12p1 Front Proof;
French Text PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.The Silver Jubilee of the reign of King George V and Queen Mary was celebrated in Canada by the introduction of a Commemorative banknote. This handsome prototype is a face side Proof printed in French text for issuance in Quebec. French text banknotes of the 1935 series are far scarcer than the more plentiful English-text variants. As-made pinholes are mentioned for accuracy. This front-side Proof was matted to large cardstock for rigidity and presentation. Rare in this interesting format and very pretty.
