Fr. 18 $1 1869 Legal Tender PMG Choice Uncirculated 64
EPQ.The textbook definition of why the "Rainbow" moniker was applied to the Series of 1869 is found in this lot. Incredibly bright and vivid blue, green, and red inks are found throughout the entirety of this ever so popular Fr. 18. Quite literally a hair away from a Gem grade, this 1869 $1 also displays plate number 62 along the top margin. During our 2025 GACC Signature Auction, we offered another PMG 64 EPQ Fr. 18 which realized exactly $9,000.
