Description

Fr. 1225b $10,000 1900 Gold Certificate PCGS Very Fine 35.
A look at Chambliss' population figure for Fr. 1225b finds only a paltry eight enumerated. This unredeemable $10,000 resides in a PCGS first generation holder. The third party label states the old Friedberg number of "Fr. 1225." This specimen was encapsulated in the days before Fr. 1225 was broken down by signature combination with the release of the 19th Friedberg edition in 2010. This note was payable to the order of the National City Bank of New York. It has the usual hole punch cancels for the earlier examples of this design, but fortunately, President Jackson's head remains unharmed resulting in a nice overall appearance.
