Description

Rare Burke-Glass Kansas City $5 Star Note - One of Three Known

Fr. 881* $5 1914 Federal Reserve Star Note PMG Very Fine 25.
This very elusive Kansas City district replacement note is one of just three stars reported for this Friedberg number, none of which have made a public appearance in over ten years. The example in this lot was also the last of the three to be reported to the Doug Murray Star Census and that occurred in December 1999. It is a pleasing, evenly circulated example of the much scarcer Burke-Glass signature combination and exhibits nice color and solid paper.
