Description
Complete Victory Liberty Loan Bond
U. S. Victory Liberty Loan 4 3/4% Gold Bond of 1922-1923 $50 May 20, 1919This is the first example of this denomination that we have ever offered from the Victory Liberty Loan issue. The Victory bonds were the fifth, and last, series of bonds issued by the United States government to help its World War I efforts. The Victory bonds were actually issued after the conclusion of the war and were used to fund the post-war aftermath. Tonight's offering is a nice and very rare one as it is a complete bond with all eight of coupons attached. This series also used a different overprint color and the Treasury seal is a very light blue. Just a few light folds are seen on this attractive and original Extremely Fine bond.
